Beth, I also am getting very bad buzzing, and my wife has said I am breaking up at times, that with over 400Kbps on the uplink (!). I searched their FAQ's and they have a pdf with some ideas to fix the problem. Plugging into another USB port is the easiest, followed by a different phone. The third solution was to give priority to background processes instead of programs on the PC through system properties settings. ... Anyway, search on audio quality and you'll find it.

About the different USB solution - they say to not use it on a USB hub, and I was thinking that the different usb ports on the PC may also provide different performance due to interference from various PC components. Anyway, worth a try.
